Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Service Foreman to perform onsite troubleshooting and repairs of fire sprinkler systems. The role involves identifying code issues and non-conformance issues while ensuring systems comply with relevant building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee the installation, service, and troubleshooting of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

+ Direct and delegate tasks to fitters, helpers, and apprentices to ensure project deadlines and goals are met.

+ Ensure projects are completed within financial and productivity budgets. Coordinate daily work schedules and manage the productivity of assigned employees.

+ Ensure all equipment is installed in compliance with manufacturer requirements and safety standards. Conduct necessary system testing and complete required certifications.

+ Instruct and train team members in service, repair, and system installation processes.

+ Maintain open communication with customers and provide necessary information and updates.

Essential Skills

+ Thorough understanding of fire sprinkler system design, components, operation, and maintenance procedures.

+ Familiarity with relevant fire safety codes and standards, including NFPA codes.

+ Ability to identify potential issues, analyze findings, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

+ Meticulous observation skills to detect even minor damage or malfunctions in the system.

+ Clear and concise communication skills to explain technical details to building owners and management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1 to 3 years of experience with servicing and repair of fire protection sprinkler systems.

+ Backflow test and repair certification is a plus.

+ Ability to work with minimal supervision.

+ NICET I or II certification in inspection and service.

+ OSHA 10 certification is preferred.

+ Ability to read blueprints.

+ High School/Vocational training is a plus.

+ Working knowledge of fire pumps and underground sprinkler systems.

+ Understanding of NFPA and local codes that apply (NFPA 13, 13(R), 13(D), 14, 20, 24).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
