    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for packing products in one of three major classifications: Foam, Coatings Mills, or Coatings Reactors. You will label products before and after packaging as needed, set up packaging areas, fill containers to specified weight and quality standards, and handle hazardous materials properly. This role requires a thorough understanding of and compliance with all safety processes, requirements, and standard operating procedures.

    Responsibilities

    + Pack products in one of three major classifications: Foam, Coatings Mills, or Coatings Reactors.

    + Label products before and after packaging as needed.

    + Set up packaging area for one of three major classifications.

    + Fill containers to specified weight and expected quality standards.

    + Prepare and properly label wash, leftover bulk, or non-conforming material.

    + Use nitrogen to flush away contaminants in headspace during package preparation.

    + Prepare container closures by following procedures for crimping lids, torqueing bungs and tote caps, and utilizing seals and zip ties.

    + Follow DOT hazardous material procedures according to training.

    + Work with manufacturing equipment with minimal direction from Supervisor or Lead.

    + Handle hazardous material safely and accurately complete paperwork (batch tickets).

    + Maintain production flow and process documentation.

    + Follow directions and take action for variations in foreign debris, texture, and color.

    + Understand and follow all SOPs (standard operating procedures).

    + Work closely with QC to maintain standards through packaging.

    + Multitask effectively and perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

    + Comply with all safety processes, requirements, and SOPs.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Ability to work with chemicals, compounding, mixing, blending, and food manufacturing.

    + Proficiency in operating manufacturing equipment.

    + Understanding of GMPs and SOPs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with chemical or food manufacturing is preferred.

    + Must be willing to shave every other day.

    Work Environment

     

    This role operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 3pm to 1:30am, Monday through Thursday, with mandatory Friday overtime. The manufacturing setting includes large mixing equipment and a casual dress code similar to painting attire. This is a physically demanding position requiring regular lifting of 50-70 lbs buckets, with lift assist available.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
