    Job Description

    Perform inspections, repairs, service, and modifications to the helicopter's electrical system. Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all avionics systems that perform functions of communications, navigation, collision avoidance, target acquisition, and automatic aircraft flight control systems. Service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust AC and DC power generation, conversion, and distribution systems and aircraft batteries. Work overtime and travel as needed. Perform other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform inspections, repairs, service, and modifications to the helicopter's electrical system.

    + Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all avionics systems including communications, navigation, collision avoidance, target acquisition, and automatic aircraft flight control systems.

    + Service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust AC and DC power generation, conversion, and distribution systems and aircraft batteries.

    + Work overtime and travel as needed.

    + Perform other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Helicopter avionics troubleshooting and repair experience

    + 3+ years of avionics experience

    + Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles as applied to aviation/aircraft

    + Ability to use and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and technical publications

    + A&P Licenses are strongly preferred

    + Current FAA sign-offs or Airframe or Powerplant Licenses

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with avionics systems and avionics installation

    + Understanding of avionics electrical systems

    + Aircraft maintenance experience

    + Troubleshooting electronics

    + Airframe and powerplant mechanic

    + Flight control

    + Wiring and wire harness

    + Schematic interpretation

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.
