Job Title: Injection Mold Technician

Job Description

The position of Injection Mold Technician offers an opportunity to start directly as a Molding Setup Technician or train into the role. The primary responsibilities include setting up and operating injection molding press machines, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and conducting mold changeovers and settings. Initially, the technician will learn the operations of the machines, and with setup experience, will progress to conducting setups, changeovers, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate injection molding press machines.

+ Perform preventative maintenance on machines.

+ Troubleshoot issues and conduct mold changeovers and settings.

+ Learn machine operations and progress to setups, changeovers, and maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

+ Excellent mechanical aptitude.

+ Experience working with hand and power tools.

+ At least 1 year of experience operating injection molding machines.

+ Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance repair.

+ Skills in preventive maintenance and mold setup and change.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in injection molding setup, changeover, and troubleshooting.

+ Experience in preventive maintenance and repair on injection molding press machines.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, regulated, and controlled, ensuring sterility for the production of surgical products. PPE is required, including safety glasses, hairnet, and lab coat, which are provided. The position is part of a small team of 15-20 people in production, with opportunities to be part of successful startup launches. The role is on the 2nd shift, from 2:30pm to 11pm, Monday to Friday, with minimal overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
