    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring assigned machines are fully production ready, maintaining operational output and quality standards. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance on production machinery, components, and tools including blowers, motors, pneumatics, electronics, and conveyor systems. Your expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing issues with oven systems, induction furnaces, and automated/semi-automated manufacturing machinery is essential for production readiness.

    Responsibilities

    + Complete preventive maintenance on production machines, components, and tools.

    + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair problems with oven systems, induction furnaces, and manufacturing machinery.

    + Minimize downtime by training and informing production workers on routine preventive maintenance techniques.

    + Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions.

    + Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments.

    + Evaluate and repair devices using hoists, cranes, hand, and power tools.

    + Examine form, fit, and function of parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using calipers and micrometers.

    + Inspect, maintain, repair, and replace building mechanical and electrical systems.

    + Work with access control systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, and fire prevention systems.

    + Complete daily maintenance tasks through work order forms, demand, and preventative activities.

    + Collaborate within teams committed to excellence and continuous improvement.

    Essential Skills

    + Degree in industrial maintenance or similar.

    + Experience in maintenance mechanics within a manufacturing environment.

    + Knowledge of electricity principles, PLC controls, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, switch gears, transformers, and power distribution.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and repair PLCs (Siemens and Schneider drives and controls), servos, and variable frequency drives.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Experience with CMMS.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

    + Associate degree.

    + Troubleshoot/repair PLCs, servos, & VFDs: 2 years.

    + Pneumatics and hydraulics: 2 years.

    + Switch gears, transformers, and power distribution: 2 years.

    + Resolving mechanical issues on industrial machinery: 2 years.

    + Performing PMs on complex automated production machines: 2 years.

    Work Environment

     

    The position requires working the second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Tuesday through Friday (4, 10-hour days). The role involves working night shifts and commuting to Hartland, WI. You will work in a facility equipped with advanced machinery and systems, ensuring a challenging and rewarding work experience.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartland, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.80 - $35.20/hr.
