Job Title: Utility Worker - 2nd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Utility Worker for our 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11 PM. The role involves ensuring a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety and ergonomic rules, including the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to company guidelines and standard operating procedures.

+ Utilize basic hand tools and cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and bin washers to clean machines and machine parts, clear floors, and maintain facility cleanliness.

+ Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw and WIP materials, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

+ Report preventive maintenance needs and coordinate work with external contractors and vendors as directed.

+ Manage recycling activities and dispose of hazardous waste daily as per guidelines.

+ Assist line team members in packaging and manufacturing tasks as needed.

+ Perform cleaning tasks during plant shutdown periods and other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ High School Diploma

+ Good written and verbal communication skills in English

+ Ability to work safely in a production environment

+ Mathematical aptitude in addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and metric system

+ Experience working in a GMP or SOP environment

+ Good PC skills and experience with electronic databases and online tools

+ Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions in workplace documentation

+ Good troubleshooting skills

+ Willingness to work overtime as required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
