Job Title: HVAC Installer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to work on large commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and possess thorough knowledge of HVAC systems and codes. Responsibilities include installing commercial HVAC systems, ranging from equipment to duct fittings and grills, laying out and connecting electrical wiring, performing startups on HVAC systems, and ensuring their proper functionality. Additionally, the role requires knowledge of blueprints and building codes, and a willingness to assist with other trades as needed.

Responsibilities

+ Install commercial HVAC systems, including equipment, duct fittings, and grills.

+ Layout and connect electrical wiring.

+ Perform startups on HVAC systems and ensure proper functionality.

+ Understand and apply knowledge of blueprints and building codes.

+ Assist with other trades as needed.

Essential Skills

+ 3-5 years of experience in HVAC installation.

+ Thorough knowledge of HVAC systems and codes.

+ Ability to pass an MVR check.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of sheet metal, electrical, construction, plumbing, installation, and duct work.

+ Experience with commercial HVAC, conduit, blueprint, wiring, troubleshooting, HVAC equipment, PVC, service, repair, heating, piping, cooling, sheet metal installation, duct installation.

+ EPA Universal certification.

+ OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment features a shift from 7am to 5pm, with potential for working four 10-hour days depending on project needs. There is significant opportunity during summer months. The role involves working in extremes of heat, cold, and inclement weather, both indoors and outdoors. Candidates should be prepared to stand and walk throughout the workday and lift or carry up to 60 lbs. Transportation to work sites is flexible, with options for carpooling or driving oneself. Most sites are local, with some located in Wytheville, Covington, and Martinsville.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
