    Job Description

    As a pipefitter, you will be responsible for cutting, threading, and hammering pipes to specifications using a variety of tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, or pipe benders. You will lay out full-scale drawings of pipe systems and inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, and other methods. You will plan pipe system layouts, install or repair according to specifications, attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures, and modify, clean, or maintain pipe systems using hand and power tools. Additionally, you will install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and maintain records of work assignments.

    Responsibilities

    + Cut, thread, or hammer pipes to specifications using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, or pipe benders.

    + Lay out full-scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, or related equipment according to blueprints.

    + Inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipelines using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, and other methods.

    + Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.

    + Attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.

    + Modify, clean, or maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, or related machines using hand and power tools.

    + Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and more.

    + Keep records of work assignments.

    The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $69389.00/yr.
