    Job Description

    The primary purpose of this role is to execute general warehouse and delivery duties, ensuring the timely receipt and delivery of products. The role requires flexibility in driving to locations such as Charleston, GA or Asheville, with same-day returns, and involves making deliveries to music stores, returning musical rental equipment, and interacting with store managers.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform general warehouse duties and deliver products promptly.

    + Drive company-provided vehicles to deliver company-owned products while adhering to traffic regulations.

    + Locate and transfer products for daily sales orders, ensuring physical products match sales order descriptions.

    + Prepare products for shipping in accordance with company standards.

    + Load and unload vehicles, sometimes using rolling carts.

    + Assist warehouse associates with various duties as needed.

    + Communicate with store managers during drop-offs and customer-facing interactions.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.

    + At least 6 months of driving experience.

    + Clean driving record.

    + Customer service skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED (required).

    + 6 months of warehouse experience (preferred).

    + 1 year of delivery driving experience (preferred).

    + Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    + Attention to detail and ability to quickly identify and correct errors.

    + Ability to thrive under deadline-based assignments.

    + Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk up to 2 miles during the workday, and perform repetitive motions.

    Work Environment

     

    The role involves a driver/warehouse environment requiring a flexible retail schedule, full-time Monday to Friday, with no overnight stays. Drivers can start as early as 6 am to complete an 8-hour day, though some routes may extend up to 10 hours for a 4-day workweek. The most extended route experienced was 15 hours due to road accidents. Warehouse operations commence at 11 am, but drivers may start their route earlier. Casual dress code with closed-toed shoes is required, and breaks include a 1/2-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
