Job Title: Welder
Job Description
As a welder, you will be responsible for reading blueprints to weld large scale steel and aluminum fixtures for the power and construction industry. The primary method used will be MIG welding, with occasional Flux Core welding. You will also assist with fitting responsibilities and machine operations as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Read and interpret blueprints for welding projects.
+ Perform MIG welding and occasional Flux Core welding.
+ Assist with fitting responsibilities.
+ Operate machinery and equipment when necessary.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in welding techniques, especially MIG welding.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
+ Experience in machine operation and saw operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 3+ years of experience in MIG welding.
+ 1+ years of experience in Flux Core welding, blueprint reading, fitting, and machine operation.

Work Environment
Work hours are 6am to 4:30pm from Monday to Friday, and 6am to noon on Saturday. The shop features an open environment with large windows for ventilation, closed in winter and open in summer. While not climate-controlled, large fans help maintain a comfortable temperature. The facility is clean and organized, providing a general shop environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
