General Production Worker $17-$22 an hour (first shift)
Work Environment / Shift
Work in a 71,000 square foot facility with a job shop environment, supplying products for the automotive industry and other major companies. Collaborate with other welders and set up welds in a fast-paced yet easy-going atmosphere. **Enjoy a 1st shift schedule from Monday through Friday, 6AM to 2:30PM, with potential Saturday hours as needed. Dress code includes jeans, shirt, and steel toes, with uniforms provided once hired directly.**
Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Production Operator in Marion, where you will contribute to machining and metal fabrication projects using laser cutting, metal forming, and welding techniques. These positions are open due to facility growth and new equipment additions, offering a promising contract-to-hire opportunity.
Responsibilities
+ Produce parts and tools from metal or other materials using a laser, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision cuts into material.
+ Refer to blueprints for the finished product, make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut, ensuring proper machine setup and functionality.
+ Ensure machines operate at full capacity, are stocked with necessary materials, are well-maintained, and perform periodic checks on output.
+ Inspect the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production..

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
