The Warehouse Shipping Supervisor is a key position in the Company and will support and contribute to the company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. The Warehouse Shipping Supervisor, supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the shipment of service parts. Organizes and maintains 99% fill rate shipping service parts. Work directly with employees to manage the daily picking, packing, and shipment of service parts to our customer. Maintain a consistent flow of work throughout the daily work schedule. Ensure product picked, packed and shipped using the most efficient methods available.

    Essential Functions of the Job:

    + Focus, communicate, encourage and contribute to Safety in all aspects of the job and all company meetings.

    + Requisition materials required to meet 99% fill rates in service parts, coordinate the flow of picked, packed and shipped service parts through department.

    + Ensures work orders and material transactions are accurate and complete daily.

    + Prioritizes and assigns workflow of tickets daily.

    + Works closely with manufacturing to ensure parts are readily available as needed for Manufacturing processes.

    + Inspect work to ensure order picking accuracy.

    + Monitors backlog problems, work order flow and bottleneck issues on service parts floor.

    + Recommend improvements to service parts methods, equipment, quality, working conditions and efficiency.

    + Assists employees with work related problems.

    + Maintain time and productivity and performance records for the service parts employees.

    + Review and implement daily workflow processes to maintain an efficient flow of shipments for service parts.

    + Recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, disciplinary measures and wage increases. Complete and conduct employee performance appraisals.

    + Order and maintain office and warehouse supplies with budgetary guidelines.

    + Responsible for processing all PO receiving for service parts warehouse daily.

    + Must maintain accurate inventory totals in all the racked and floor storage locations in the service parts warehouse.

    + Identify and enforce department safety and housekeeping policy.

    + Ensure employees are trained in the operation and safe use of all material handling equipment.

    + Provides input for budget preparation and staffing levels based on workload.

    + Conducts and monitors training programs and department meetings (toolbox talks).

    + Examines defective machinery to determine cause of malfunction. Identifies and requests repairs to maintenance.

    + Process customer returns in a timely manner and work all salvage tickets before month end.

    + Manage all shipping and loading functions regarding service parts and manufacturing whole goods.

    + Supervise and manage shipping employees and departments needs for all outbound shipments.

    + Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

    + Good leadership skills; Must be a good problem solver, must have good relationship skills and able to persuade and motivate.

    + Must have a "CAN DO" attitude.

    + Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

    + Good computer skills, (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, PowerPoint).

    + Must be able to multi-task and have good coordination skills, able to plan, prioritize and organize various activities.

    + Must be able to work under pressure and meet daily service parts deadlines and schedules.

    + Must be physically capable of standing/walking the service parts floor for 8+ hour shifts.

    + Must be able to work overtime, including some weekends.

    + May be required to occasionally travel.

    Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma or GED certificate required.

    + 3+ years previous supervisory experience required.

    + Working knowledge/experience in distribution/logistics environment required. Must be able to interpret work order specifications.

    While performing the duties of this job, will be exposed to outdoor climate and conditions in warehouse and manufacturing area daily. Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended amount of time. Frequent mobility in and around the manufacturing facility. Some travel may be required. Ability to work overtime as needed.
