CNC Lathe Machinist - Santee, CA - 1st Shift - $25/hr-$35/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist proficient in programming and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc and Mastercam controllers. The role involves making tooling and executing various lathe operations to support production processes. You will be predominantly working with Doosan turret lathes and live spindle lathe mill turns, ensuring the seamless operation of other assembly operations. This position requires independence as you will check your own parts and supply your own tools.

Responsibilities

+ Program and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc and Mastercam controllers.

+ Make tooling and execute lathe operations to support production.

+ Operate Doosan turret lathes and live spindle lathe mill turns.

+ Maintain the smooth operation of assembly processes by making necessary changes and tools.

+ Check parts for accuracy and quality.

+ Supply own tools and work independently.

+ Perform set-ups as needed, potentially multiple times a day.

+ Work with various materials including steel, aluminum, and titanium.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in Mastercam, Fanuc, and Doosan CNC lathe programming.

+ Knowledge of G&M codes, turning centers, and offsets.

+ Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds.

+ Citizen of the USA or legal resident alien.

+ Strong ability to read, write, and speak English.

+ Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

+ Excellent time management skills.

+ Capability to multi-task and follow verbal and written instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to read blueprints and identify tooling and hardware.

+ Understanding of production schedules and customer delivery dates.

+ Adherence to Company Safety and Quality Management System policies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
