Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for measuring aerospace components to ensure they conform to specifications. Utilizing tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and CMM, you will measure parts ranging from 1.5 inches to 120 inches with tolerances as precise as .2-.0001 of an inch. You will work within a centralized inspection area where the quality schedule is managed through a queue system, including in-work and post-run inspections. Additional inspections are required when parts return from coating at a sister plant. You will manually log quality updates on the paperwork accompanying the part through the entire process, updating the quality system accordingly, and logging the part to the next step in the production operation. If a part is rejected, you will fill out a nonconformance tag and send the part to the central inspection area for further testing.
Responsibilities
+ Measure aerospace components using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and CMM.
+ Ensure components conform to specified tolerances.
+ Work within a centralized inspection area managing the quality schedule.
+ Conduct additional inspections for coated parts returned from a sister plant.
+ Manually log quality updates and update the quality system.
+ Log parts to the next step in the production operation.
+ Fill out nonconformance tags for rejected parts and send them for further testing.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of aerospace quality inspection experience.
+ Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
+ Ability to work through quality documentation and instructions.
+ Experience using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and CMM.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.

Work Environment
The position requires initial training on the first shift, after which you will transition to the second shift on weekdays. The second shift schedule is Monday through Thursday, 4:18 PM to 2:30 AM. You will initially train alongside other inspectors, with one other inspector on the weekday second shift. The work demands may vary based on business needs, within a climate-controlled machine shop.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, Missouri.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
