Job Title: Production Technician

Job Description

As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks or pallets with cylinders for testing or with completed cylinders. You will perform initial visual inspections on cylinders, identify contents prior to removing labels, and shot blast cylinders before moving them to the next work area. Additionally, you will re-qualify acetylene cylinders, repair and re-valve cylinders as necessary, and paint cylinders according to established procedures. Other tasks may be assigned as needed to ensure smooth production operations.

Responsibilities

+ Load and unload trucks or pallets with cylinders for testing or completed cylinders.

+ Perform initial visual inspection on cylinders and identify contents prior to removing labels.

+ Shot blast cylinders and move them to the next work area.

+ Re-qualify acetylene cylinders according to established procedures.

+ Repair and re-valve cylinders as necessary and according to established procedures.

+ Paint cylinders as necessary according to established procedures.

+ Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary.

Essential Skills

+ Production experience.

+ General labor skills.

+ Forklift operation.

+ Warehouse experience.

+ Painting skills.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to work with hand tools and mechanical equipment.

+ Previous knowledge of cylinders and industrial gases is preferred.

+ Mechanical aptitude required.

+ Safety Toe Shoes.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic environment where shifts are Monday through Friday, with a 9am to 6pm schedule. Safety and efficiency are prioritized, requiring safety toe shoes and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, Idaho.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
