    URGENTLY in need of a 2nd Shift** **Manufacturing** **Maintenance Mechanic

    Job Description

    The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in maintaining a smooth production operation by performing daily maintenance of equipment through mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. The role involves repairing, conducting changeovers, setting up machinery, performing minor installations, and scheduled preventive maintenance of production equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Follow all GMPs and relevant SOPs.

    + Perform daily minor troubleshooting and repair of packaging machines and equipment.

    + Maintain machine parts and keep changeover tooling in good condition.

    + Provide general preventive maintenance to packaging machines and equipment.

    + Accurately and promptly complete all required maintenance documentation, including Cleaning Logs, Parts Requisition Maintenance Report, Daily Quality Checks, and Part Requisition Sheets.

    + Ensure all safety components and guarding on packaging machines and equipment are operational and properly used.

    + Strive to increase productivity by completing maintenance, changeovers, and repair work in a timely and efficient manner.

    + Maintain equipment and parts, and determine inventory spare part levels.

    + Demonstrate a beginner level of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, with an aptitude to advance to the next level (Mechanic II).

    + Possess basic machine shop knowledge and the ability to operate machines such as a drill press and vertical/horizontal band saw, as well as work with power tools.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a very clean, fast-paced production plant in a vitamin packing company spread across three buildings. The setting involves tight quarters, fostering a dynamic and efficient work atmosphere.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
