    Job Title: Concrete Foreman

    Job Description

    A Concrete Foreman oversees concrete construction projects, leading crews in tasks such as formwork, reinforcement, and concrete placement. This role ensures safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications. The Concrete Foreman is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising work, managing manpower and resources, and training crew members.

    Responsibilities

    + Effectively lead, manage, and motivate crews of 3 to 6 individuals.

    + Plan and schedule manpower, tools, materials, and equipment needed for projects.

    + Assign tasks to crew members, coordinate their work, and ensure timely completion.

    + Ensure job sites are safe, adhering to OSHA, MSHA, and other relevant regulations.

    + Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications and blueprints.

    + Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and crew members.

    + Utilize instruments for precise layout, read blueprints and plans, and identify resources, labor, and equipment for efficient project completion.

    + Oversee and train new crew members on safe work practices and equipment use.

    + Maintain daily logs and timesheets.

    + Resolve problems with projects, materials, and workers.

    Essential Skills

    + Concrete construction experience

    + Proficiency in concrete finishing

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints

    + Leadership and supervisory skills

    + Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA and MSHA

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Carpentry

    + Rebar

    + Flatwork

    + Power tool operation

    + Masonry and Framing

    + Experience with concrete slabs and formwork

    Work Environment

     

    The Concrete Foreman will lead a team of concrete laborers and finishers to successfully meet deadlines and ensure quality on each project. Work is conducted on construction sites across various locations throughout Ventura County, with the majority of tasks being outdoor and labor-intensive. Shift hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm, with the possibility of additional hours until project completion. Employees may choose to work on weekends if desired.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newbury Park, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
