Description
Huntington Bank is seeking a visionary Creative Director, Environmental to lead the transformation of our physical banking environments into customer-centric brand experiences. This role will shape how our brand is expressed across branches, wealth centers and corporate offices—creating environments that foster trust, innovation, culture and community engagement. In addition, a key part of this role is reimagining our legacy brand for a modern audience—making it feel fresh, relevant, and forward-thinking without losing the heritage, trust, and values that define us.
Key Responsibilities
+ Strategic brand expression: Translate the bank’s brand values—trust, security, innovation, and accessibility—into compelling spatial experiences that resonate with diverse customer segments.
+ Design leadership: Lead the creative development of environmental branding, signage systems, wayfinding and digital integration for corporate and client-facing spaces.
+ Customer experience focus: Design environments that communicate brand values, enhance customer journeys and reduce friction.
+ Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with brand strategy, real estate, facilities, marketing, and digital teams to ensure cohesive brand expression across all physical touchpoints.
+ Innovation and sustainability: Integrate sustainable design practices and emerging technologies to future-proof our spaces.
+ Vendor and partner management: Oversee design partners and fabricators to ensure high-quality execution aligned with brand standards.
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, graphic design, industrial design or related field
+ 8+ years of experience in environmental branding, retail design, or experiential marketing, with a strong portfolio of work in corporate and customer-facing environments
Preferred Qualifications
+ Enthusiastic brand champion with experience creating environments for a clearly defined, highly visible brand
+ Experience mentoring and managing creatives at all levels
+ Experience with legacy brands, especially reimagining them for new audiences
+ Knowledge of and skilled use of AI tools while maintaining brand standards
+ Proven experience leading creative teams and managing complex, multi-site projects
+ Expertise in spatial design tools and familiarity with architectural and fabrication processes
+ Strong understanding of customer behavior in service-oriented environments
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
