Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our team on the 3rd shift. The role involves performing physical testing on fabric to ensure it meets all established quality criteria and communicating results to lead operators in lamination. A firm commitment to Total Quality Management and Continuous Improvement is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Perform in-process testing and visual examination of materials.

+ Conduct incoming vinyl inspection and finished goods testing.

+ Enter all test data results into the ERP system.

+ Evaluate and disposition quality test results.

+ Perform daily Quality Audits in production areas.

+ Conduct various clerical duties including audits, data compilation, and certifications research.

+ Collect, test, and prepare samples for external testing.

Essential Skills

+ High school diploma or GED.

+ 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Quality department.

+ Strong math skills and ability to read a tape measure.

+ Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office and ERP experience.

+ Excellent verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to interact with associates across departments.

+ Flexibility in available work hours and shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Machine operating and setup skills.

+ Experience in manufacturing and quality control.

+ Capability to train others on quality tasks.

+ Forklift and hoist training provided.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, well-organized, and well-lit, with a focus on safety and comfort despite the building not being temperature controlled. The warehouse section is highly organized with efficient racking systems. The company operates with a total of 115 employees across 1st and 2nd shifts, providing a collaborative and expansive work atmosphere. The work schedule for the 3rd shift is Monday to Wednesday from 9 PM to 9 AM and Thursday from 7 PM to 1 AM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr.
