Job Description
Join our team as a Janitorial Worker, where your commitment to cleanliness and waste management plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. In this essential position, you’ll be responsible for everything related to trash disposal within the hospital, ensuring efficient waste removal and upholding hygiene standards. If you take pride in creating a cleaner, healthier space for others, we’d love to have you on board!
This position follows a structured yet balanced schedule, with shifts running from **2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday.** To ensure full coverage, every other weekend is required, but when you work a weekend day, you receive a weekday off, maintaining a **five-day workweek.** This setup provides consistency while offering some flexibility, ensuring you have time to recharge while contributing to a clean and safe environment for hospital staff and patients.
Responsibilities
+ **Waste Disposal Management** – Ensure timely and proper removal of all trash, biohazardous waste, and sharps containers throughout the hospital.
+ **Sanitization & Cleaning** – Maintain cleanliness in designated areas, including floors, trash bins, and waste disposal sites, with a focus on infection control.
+ **Biohazard Handling** – Safely dispose of medical waste, including blood-soaked materials, used needles, and bodily fluids, following strict hospital protocols.
+ **Restroom & Patient Area Maintenance** – Clean and sanitize restrooms, patient rooms, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards.
+ **Emergency Cleanup** – Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and hazardous material cleanups, ensuring a safe environment for staff and patients.
+ **Collaboration with Healthcare Staff** – Work alongside medical teams to support cleanliness and safety within patient care spaces.
+ **Compliance with Health Regulations** – Follow all hospital sanitation guidelines and OSHA regulations related to waste disposal and biohazard handling.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
