    Job Title: Food Service Worker | Hospital

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our hospital kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a background in fast-paced restaurant environments and will be responsible for preparing meals for over 700 guests a day. This role requires someone who can work independently, follow directions meticulously, and maintain high standards of hygiene and appearance.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare large batches of food according to hospital standards.

    + Follow specific dietary guidelines and patient requirements.

    + Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.

    + Provide excellent customer service and handle difficult situations with patience.

    + Lift up to 50lbs and push up to 100lbs as needed.

    + Work various shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.

    Essential Skills

    + 1.5+ years of experience in large batch cooking.

    + 1.5+ years of experience in food preparation.

    + Excellent customer service skills.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is a plus.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Work Environment

     

    This position is based in a hospital kitchen, primarily working in the cafeteria. Candidates must adhere to strict hygiene standards, including covering tattoos, avoiding facial piercings, and not wearing heavy fragrances. Shifts vary, with work hours between 5:00 AM and 8:00 PM, including weekends on a rotating basis. Typical shifts include 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM, and 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM every other weekend.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ROUND ROCK, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $19.00/hr.
