    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Process Technician Lead for the 2nd shift, from 2:50 PM to 11:00 PM, including weekend overtime. This role involves handling 3-8 machines every Saturday and Sunday, with technicians rotating weekends, ensuring coverage every other weekend. The ideal candidate will have a robust background as a full-fledged process technician, having progressed from roles such as material handler or mold setter.

     

    + Start up and shut down presses using E-Dart, Insight, and end of arm tooling.

    + Perform resin handling as needed, particularly during staff shortages.

    + Conduct one to two die changeovers per week.

    + Operate Arburg, Millicron, and Zhafir molding machines, ranging from 66 to 770 tons, across approximately 30-35 presses.

    + Navigate and manage the robot operations on production lines.

    + Monitor processes and float between different areas as needed.

    + Ensure cleanliness of assigned areas, keeping them free of rags, oil, and unnecessary tools or paperwork.

    + Fill out necessary paperwork for the production lines.

    + Maintain a detail-oriented approach, particularly in the niche cosmetic industry.

    Essential Skills

    + 5 years of experience as a Plastics Process Technician.

    + 2-5 years of experience in setting Plastic Injection Molds.

    + 2 years of experience in reading blueprints.

    + Experience in automation and robotic troubleshooting.

    + Proficiency in starting up and shutting down plastic injection molding machines.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in plastic processing and mold setting.

    + Mechanical inclination and troubleshooting skills.

    + Knowledge of robotics automation and plastic molding.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.00/hr.
