Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing and distribution environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in various roles including shipping, receiving, and production, contributing to the assembly and packaging of high-temperature materials and adhesives.
Responsibilities
+ Work in shipping and receiving, as well as on the production team, with flexibility to learn and perform various roles.
+ Assist in assembling adhesives and packaging orders for customers.
+ Operate wrapping equipment and manage packaging tasks.
+ Create and enter labels using ShipGear or UPS systems, with manual data entry into computers.
+ Ensure accurate decimal calculations for measurements using a tape measure and scale.
+ Pick and pack items weighing up to 50 lbs.
+ Maintain a good attitude and attention to detail, comparing numbers and ensuring accuracy.
Essential Skills
+ 1-2 years of shipping/receiving experience.
+ 6 months of experience operating wrapping equipment.
+ Proficiency in ShipGear or UPS systems for label creation and data entry.
+ Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with FEDEX, ShipGear, and USPS software.
+ Ability to measure accurately, including decimal calculations.
+ Good attendance and punctuality.
Work Environment
Our company operates as a manufacturing and distribution business, specializing in high-temperature materials and adhesives for electrical, structural, and industrial applications. The dress code is business casual, and the work hours are Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, and Friday 9am-4pm, with lunch from 12:15pm-1pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Brooklyn, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
