Bilingual Hospital Food Service Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced food service associate to join our hospital kitchen team, serving over 700 guests daily. The ideal candidate should possess experience in a fast-paced restaurant/customer service environment and be comfortable working in an isolated area while following directions accurately.

Responsibilities

+ Service the hospital cafeteria and kitchen with duties such as: cashiering, treyline, delivering food treys, cooking, etc.

+ Prepare large batches of food with precision and care.

+ Ensure food preparation meets the hospital's standards and dietary requirements.

+ Maintain excellent customer service, particularly in interactions with patients.

+ Lift and transport items up to 50lbs and push carts weighing up to 100lbs.

+ Adhere to strict hygiene and appearance standards while working in the cafeteria.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 1.5 years of experience in large batch cooking.

+ Minimum 1.5 years of experience in customer service roles.

+ Excellent customer service skills.

+ Ability to work effectively with difficult individuals and understand patient situations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in hospitality and restaurant settings.

+ Ability to work as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AUSTIN, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $12.00 - $18.00/hr.
