Job Title: Automation Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician with experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines. The ideal candidate will handle automation machine tool electrical maintenance, working on a variety of CNC equipment including CNC mills (vertical and horizontal), CNC machining centers, and robotics. You will work with over 35 OEM machine brands and handle equipment such as P&H cranes/hoists, conveyors, furnaces, large part washers, ABB robots, and CNC machine tools. You will also be responsible for repairing CNC and PLC equipment with controllers from brands like Fanuc, Siemens, and Modicon. Key tasks include troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC analog and digital drives, sensors, cables, wiring, drive faults, encoders, and 480V systems. You will connect a laptop to machines to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues. The maintenance team uses an MMS system to generate work orders, and you will log all maintenance performed using a company-provided computer/tablet. Prioritize machinery repairs based on the value stream of the equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines and equipment.
+ Handle electrical maintenance for automation machine tools.
+ Work with a variety of CNC equipment, including CNC mills, machining centers, and robotics.
+ Repair CNC and PLC equipment with controllers from brands like Fanuc, Siemens, and Modicon.
+ Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC analog and digital drives, sensors, cables, wiring, drive faults, encoders, and 480V systems.
+ Connect a laptop to machines to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues.
+ Use an MMS system to generate work orders and log all maintenance activities.
+ Prioritize machinery repairs based on the value stream of the equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines.
+ Experience with PLC controls and ability to edit ladder logic.
+ Electrical troubleshooting through HMI.
+ Knowledge in controls systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, and Fanuc.
+ Experience with AC/DC power systems.
+ Ability to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certified Electrician.
+ Associate Degree in Industrial Automation.
+ Experience with Glass Scale Linear Encoder and Industrial Robotics.

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing facility and machine shop production environment with heavy industrial conditions. The position requires working on the AWS Schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) with shifts of 2 days on, 2 nights on. You will work 4 ten-hour days, guaranteeing 40 hours per week. During the first 2-4 weeks, candidates can expect 40 hours a week on days for training before moving to their assigned shift. Candidates should be open to both shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Lafayette, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
