Job Title: Combi Lift Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lift Driver to operate an industrial forklift known as a 'Combi Lift' to feed lines with raw material and take away finished products. The Lift Driver will perform duties and procedures effectively, safely, and efficiently in the assigned production line area. Responsibilities include completing reports, maintaining cleanliness, multitasking, using industrial equipment, performing changeovers, assisting with scrap breakdown, and complying with company policies.

Responsibilities

+ Operate an industrial forklift ('Combi Lift') to feed lines with raw material and take away finished product.

+ Perform duties and procedures in the assigned production line area effectively, safely, and efficiently.

+ Complete reports and answer inquiries as requested or assigned.

+ Maintain cleanliness of the assigned production line area.

+ Multitask with changing priorities and deadlines as directed by Supervisor.

+ Effectively use industrial equipment and machinery, hand, pneumatic, and/or electric tools, and other industrial tooling.

+ Perform changeovers quickly, efficiently, and safely.

+ Assist with scrap breakdown as directed.

+ Comply with all company policies and procedures.

+ Perform other duties as assigned or directed by the Supervisor.

Essential Skills

+ Forklift operation experience, particularly with a 'Combi Lift'.

+ Experience with industrial equipment and manufacturing tools.

+ Order selection and material-handling equipment skills.

+ Crane operation, including overhead crane and crane forklift.

+ Proficiency in heavy equipment operation.

+ Strong mathematic skills and ability to use a tape measure accurately.

+ Proficient in the metric measurement system.

+ High level of attention to detail.

+ Ability to work up to 12 hours per day and weekends as necessary.

+ Physical ability to perform duties involving walking, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, pinching, reaching, twisting, leaning, lifting, pushing, and pulling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

+ Two years prior machine or production operator experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

+ Basic proficiency in MS Excel and computer usage.

+ Ability to verbally communicate effectively in English.

+ Ability to write or type effectively in English for certain stations.

+ Reliability and dependability to report to assigned shifts.

+ Prior forklift experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing plant with extreme temperatures, noise, dust, and other typical conditions. The job requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical movements necessary for assigned duties. The position may require up to 12-hour shifts and weekend work. The environment is non-climate-controlled.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.77 - $25.18/hr.
