Position Title: Facilities Technician Pay: $ 19.42 - $20.6 0/hr, additional information and benefits below. We're looking for a hands on, go to person to join our team as a Facilities Technician! In this role, you'll help keep our buildings and grounds in great shape by tackling everything from basic repairs and maintenance to painting, landscaping, snow removal, and even the occasional pool check. Pay and benefits
+ 120 hours of paid time off your first year, not including an additional 14 agency holidays.

+ $19.42 - $20.60/hr for your first year. Additional raises guaranteed for full time positions.

Minimum Education and Skills
+ High School diploma/GED and five years of related experience or Associates Degree with two years of field related experience(required).
+ One year supervisory experience. (preferred)
+ Valid driver's license(required).

Job Title: Facilities Technician Department: Support Services Title of Immediate Supervisor: Facilities Supervisor POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the general maintenance and repair of the facilities of New Directions. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 1. Perform maintenance of the grounds, equipment, electrical systems (120 and 208), plumbing systems, peripheral heating systems (fin & tube, HP, boiler, forced hot air), ventilating and air conditioning systems, and the physical plant daily. 2. May repair, install counters, cabinets, floors, doors, building framework, and trim. 3. May hang, tape and finish wallboard products. 4. May install glass in windows and doors. 5. May install or replace damaged tile and wall coverings. 6. May utilize rough and finish carpentry techniques. 7. May bend and cut conduit and wire, and drill holes for electrical connections. 8. May patch or replace plaster or plaster board. 9. May paint walls, ceilings and trim of building. 10. May be responsible for maintaining indoor pool. 11. May clear clogged drains and replace plumbing fixtures. 12. Ability to read blueprints. 13. Safely operate agency motorized equipment (trucks, tractor, etc). 14. Proficiency with all applicable trade tools: handheld or shop. 15. Cleans work areas, tools and equipment, and replaces defective parts and motors. 16. Perform landscaping duties as required including the use of Zero Tern Mowers, tractor mower and hand mowers, also the use of trimmers, blowers and chainsaws. 17. All snow removal duties as required including plowing snow with pickup trucks, BobCat and snow blowers, and hand shoveling where needed. 18. Be “on call” 24/7, 365 days a year for all agency emergencies as deemed needed by the Facilities Supervisor. 19. Have working cell phone and provide the number to the supervisor. 20. Attends all mandatory in-service training and regularly attends supervision meetings. 21. All duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
