Summary

Establish and manage infrastructure strategy and standards including networking, unified communications, telecommunications, virtual server hosting and storage

Roles and Responsibilities

• Advise on emerging technologies that should be integrated and/or introduced to ensure design cloud capabilities respond to the needs of the business, including technology evaluation and ongoing vendor management

• Plan, implement, and establish operational and maintenance programs to deliver best-in-class platform infrastructure

• Collaborate with operational service teams on both tactical and strategic projects

• Collaborate with the security team on refining and deploying security best practices to identify, detect, protect, respond, and recover from threats

• Oversight of the operational management of cloud services

• Manages products and services from providers and establish regular check-in meetings and manage strategic vendor relationships.

• Manage multiple technical projects simultaneously, and effectively manage project teams to meet project scope, timing, and cost goals

• Develop strategy and tactics to maintain 99.999% reliability on systems, platforms, and infrastructure

• Lead Operating Sys Programmers

• Cloud Engineers

Education, Experience and Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in computer science, business administration or other relevant field required

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Information Technology

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working directly with VMWare technologies

• Demonstrated experience in data center design and installation as well as knowledge of building cloud platforms to provide a highly available infrastructure at scale

• Cloud certification

• Prior experience working for a managed services provider
