Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

+ 8 years of experience in software development.

+ 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

+ Experience with languages including: Java, C/C++ or Python.

+ Experience in managing teams with reports.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

+ 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Manage the Search and Chat Experiences team that is responsible for the full Console Search stack and the Chat experience.

+ Join the Cloud Console leadership team and help shape the future of web development at Google Cloud.

+ Help strong, ambitious and team-oriented Software Engineers navigate their careers while building powerful, and flexible infrastructure for GCP's internal developers.

+ Steer the technical direction and architecture of the Search and Chat experiences presented across the Google Cloud Console.

+ Drive a goal of converting the GCP console into an AI-powered experience with our team of Product Managers, UX, Project Managers, Technical Leads.
