Job Title: Credentialing Coordinator - Northridge, CA (100% Onsite)Job Overview
The Credentialing Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that healthcare providers meet the necessary qualifications and standards to deliver high-quality care. This position involves managing the credentialing process for medical staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, managed care, and medical office operations.
Pay: $25/hr
Schedule:
+ Monday - Friday
+ 8am - 5pm (1 hour lunch)
+ 8 HR Shift
+ No Weekends
+ Full Time

Responsibilities
+ Oversee the credentialing process for healthcare providers, including gathering and verifying documentation.
+ Credential all new providers and re-credential existing providers according to Regal Medical Group policies and procedures.
+ Submit credentialing information as requested by contracted HMOs.
+ Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and managed care requirements.
+ Maintain up-to-date records of provider credentials and licensure status.
+ Collaborate with medical staff, network managers, providers, health plans, and administrative teams to facilitate timely credentialing.
+ Conduct regular audits of credentialing files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
+ Respond to inquiries regarding provider credentials from internal departments and external agencies.
+ Work with credentialing applications, data entry, file maintenance, and assist in training and supporting other staff.
+ Stay informed about changes in regulations and standards related to healthcare credentialing.
Requirements
+ One year or more of experience with credentialing.
+ Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare standards.
+ Experience in managed care environments is preferred.
+ Previous experience in a medical office setting is advantageous.
+ Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
+ Familiarity with credentialing software and electronic health records is a plus.
+ Knowledge of Windows-based computer systems preferred.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
+ Ability to work well under pressure and stay organized.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
