    Data Center Technician

    Job Description:

    Join our dynamic team as a Network Technician supporting critical infrastructure upgrades in a fast-paced data center environment. This hands-on role is ideal for professionals with a solid foundation in fiber optics and data center operations who are ready to take their skills to the next level.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Unrack and decommission outdated network equipment

    + Rack and stack new hardware with precision and care

    + Install and remove fiber circuit jumpers to support evolving network configurations

    + Populate switch ports with optical transceivers

    + Box and unbox network equipment for deployment

    + Troubleshoot fiber optic circuits using tools like VFL, power meters, and loopbacks

    + Maintain accurate daily reports and strictly follow safety protocols

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Ability to read and interpret port maps

    + Proficient in laptop operation for basic configuration and documentation

    + Experience handling and running single-mode and multi-mode fiber jumpers

    + Solid understanding of patching and routing fiber in a data center environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience troubleshooting fiber optic circuits using VFL, power meters, and loopbacks

    + Comfortable working with spreadsheets for tracking and documentation

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
