The Patient Services Representative (also referred to as Patient Care Representative or Patient Service Advocate) serves as the first point of contact for patients and is responsible for ensuring a smooth and professional experience throughout the patient journey. This includes administrative, scheduling, and customer service duties..

Key Responsibilities

+ Patient Registration: Accurately register patients and verify insurance information.

+ Record Management: Maintain and update patient records with attention to confidentiality and compliance.

+ Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and manage patient appointments efficiently.

+ Insurance Verification: Confirm insurance coverage and resolve discrepancies.

+ Patient Interaction: Greet and assist patients courteously, addressing concerns and providing support.

+ Physician Correspondence: Manage communication with physicians and healthcare providers.

+ Check-in Process: Facilitate patient check-in and ensure all documentation is complete 1 2 4 .

Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or GED required.

+ Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare software (e.g., Athena, ECW).

+ Strong communication, multitasking, and organisational skills.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 1 .

Compensation & Benefits

+ Pay range: $20–$23/hour (paid weekly).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
