We are hiring an Clinical Office Administrator to join our team of talented medical professionals, to assist with one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Winston Salem, SC.
+ Employment Status: Part Time
+ Compensation: This is an hourly position. paid by-weekly
+ Schedule: Part Time, Friday's only, 7:30am- 5:30pm. (Male gender requirement)

General Summary of Position:
The Clinical Office Administrator performs administrative duties in a healthcare setting. Duties may include, greeting veterans, effectively managing office functions, ensuring exam entry is complete, telephone and clerical support.
Required Qualifications:
+ Male only required for this job role. "When a patient is seen by a Admin, the Winston Salem, NC facility provides the patient with the option for either a male Admin or female Admin, according to what will make the patient most comfortable during a sensitive examination or procedure. The Winston Salem, NC facility therefore must provide patients with access to both male and female Admin to facilitate patient choice. This posting is specifically for a Male Admin, which will allow the Winston Salem, NC. facility to fulfill its male Admin staffing needs.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Individuals must be able to work independently and as part of a team, have good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
- Candidates must possess computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite programs, Gmail and Google Drive, setting up printers, troubleshooting internet issues, ability to learn new programs and systems.
- This job may require sitting for long periods, bending, twisting and occasionally lifting/carrying more than 50 pounds.
Responsibilities:
- Receives and screens telephone calls and visitors to the office. Determines the need(s) of the caller/visitor and addresses them, accordingly, providing information per organization policy. Takes and forwards messages.
- Makes appointment confirmation phone calls. Provide instructions to patient, explain an upcoming exam, and/or answer questions.
- Make call outs to veteran if exam date and time needs to be modified same day.
- Greets Veterans by completing check-in process and performs necessary screenings for
appointments. Obtains necessary demographic information, signatures, copies, etc. Verifies all information.
- Maintains compliance files, records, logs, charts in accordance with Optum Serve and Federal, State, and Local regulatory, contractual, and organizational guidelines including HIPAA as outlined in training and policies/procedures, quality assurance and improvement processes.
- Maintains and orders supplies for personnel/department as needed or requested.
- Receives and opens incoming mail and packages. Reviews, sorts, and directs to the appropriate person.
- Acts as point of contact for repairs, installations, record retrieval and other company needs.
- Assists with orientation for new staff and practitioners.
- Contacts IT for assistance with issues in the office.
- Performs light cleaning and sanitization of common areas and front desk area.
- Chaperone exams as requested by examiner and exam type.
- Performs any other duties as directed by Optum Serve leadership.
- Commitment to serving Veterans, including those with service animals, ensuring they are not refused service.
