DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role serves as the Chief of the Real Estate and Facilities Management Section, directly reporting to the Chief of the Division of Office Planning and Facility Support Services. The individual in this position oversees both technical and administrative personnel within the section, ensuring effective management and coordination of various responsibilities. Key duties include the administration of state-wide facilities, overseeing the real estate leasing program, and managing security systems, fire safety protocols, and evacuation plans. Additionally, the incumbent plays a crucial role in integrating green technology into the construction of new facilities and the maintenance of existing ones within the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). This multifaceted position requires a strategic approach to facility management, emphasizing safety, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
+ Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $66,250.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year as an Administrative Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
+ Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university;or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

+ This particular position also requires a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
