Summary

Under general direction, performs a variety of job responsibilities which include operation of application equipment including tractors, delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers, equipment and plant maintenance and fertilizer blending.

Key Responsibilities

+ Product application, calibrating application equipment, application equipment maintenance, and cleaning and storing application equipment

+ Assist in loading/mixing/applying pesticides, gaining understanding of the importance of including proper adjuvants, mixing order, temperature, other field/weather conditions potentially influencing application.

+ Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers.

+ General plant equipment maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities.

+ Receiving and unloading product deliveries and warehouse/inventory responsibilities.

+ Misc. duties such as special projects, attending provided trainings, providing back-up when/where needed.

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

+ Valid driver’s license

+ One plus years related experience.

+ Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation.

+ Knowledge of the local geography/roads/farms and ability to develop trust with management that moderate to heavy traffic can be negotiated effectively.

+ Ability to calibrate a variety of application equipment.

+ Ability to maintain maintenance records for equipment.

+ Ability to set up and calibrate injection equipment is a plus.
