Description of Work Unit
The Richardson Design Center is a multi-disciplinary center, located in the College of Health and Human Sciences at CSU in Fort Collins, CO, with a mission to foster interdisciplinary creative collaboration. It serves as a design-thinking hub where students from across campus can gather to collaborate, innovate, and prototype creative ideas in formal and informal learning spaces using state-of-the art equipment and technology. The RDC has: 4 studio/lab classrooms for hands-on learning, 1 seminar room for use by professional staff, 1 small dedicated project rooms that can also be used for student teams and visiting designers-in-residence, 2 computer labs, a design exchange (for student presentations, gallery exhibitions, special lectures and events, etc.), an ideation lab (including virtual reality equipment), prototyping lab (laser cutters, 3d printers, CNC textile equipment, etc), metal shop (traditional metalworking tools, welding, as well as state-of-the-art CNC milling machinery), and a wood shop (traditional woodworking hand and power tools as well as a large (4’x8’) CNC router).
Position Summary
The High School Dual Enrollment Coordinator will be responsible for promoting, developing, and expanding design thinking dual enrollment opportunities for Colorado State University ( CSU ) across the state of Colorado. This position will play a key role in building and scaling the presence of high school dual enrollment programs, enabling students to take college-level courses for credit. The Coordinator will manage partnerships and relationships with high school administrators, teachers, and counselors, as well as with the CSU Online team, ensuring the successful implementation of dual enrollment courses and initiatives.
The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-driven, and committed to expanding access to design thinking college-level courses for high school students across Colorado. They must be outgoing and willing to engage with people of all ages from schools and the community. This is a part-time position with variable hours per week (approximately 10-19 hours, flexible depending on position demands).
Required Job Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a human services, education, design, or STEM -related field.
Preferred Job Qualifications
+ Experience working in a school environment or with schools.
+ Design Thinking knowledge and skills.
+ Experience in managing educational partnerships and programs.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging with schools, students, parents, teachers, and community members.
+ Experience building and maintaining relationships.
+ Self-starter with the ability to work independently on projects and initiatives.
+ Experience promoting innovative educational opportunities.
Essential Duties

Duty/Responsibility
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for all Design Thinking dual enrollment course programming, guiding interested schools from initial inquiry to course launch.
+ Collaborate with the CSU Online dual enrollment team to strategize and execute marketing plans, manage MOU transitions, and streamline processes and systems.
+ Act as the liaison between Design Thinking faculty and high school partners to ensure seamless dual enrollment course management and delivery.
+ Assist the RDC Director and staff in the creation, management, and expansion of marketing strategies and materials to promote design thinking dual enrollment programs.
+ Maintain and grow existing partnerships with high schools across Colorado, with the goal of expanding dual enrollment offerings.
+ Other duties as assigned.
