Job Details The Reimbursement GME Analyst supports the administration, analysis, and financial reporting of Graduate Medical Education programs. This role is responsible for data management, compliance and reimbursement reporting, and financial analysis related to resident and fellow training programs as well as other reimbursement related tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, has strong Excel skills, and has experience working with large data files. Key Responsibilities Collect, analyze, and maintain data related to residency and fellowship programs, including training schedules, resident information, accreditation, and maintain monthly database for government reporting on training programs. Prepare IRIS reports, monthly internal reports, and work on all other reimbursement related duties as assigned. Answer audits of GME programs by Medicare Audit Contractors and KPMG for New York State. Answer audits of program overlaps, and work to eliminate any potential overlap reporting. Monitor and support compliance with institutional and program-level policies. Prepare monthly reports to be distributed at the GME committee (GMEC) documentation, meeting preparation, and follow-up actions. Develop dashboards and visualizations to support GME leadership decision-making. Stay current with changes in GME regulatory requirements and advise leadership accordingly. Support the implementation and optimization of GME software systems as it pertains to keeping resident counts. (e.g., New Innovations, MedHub, IRIS, and CMS 2552) All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, healthcare administration, public health, business, or related field Strong analytical and organizational skills Proficiency in Excel and data management tools Preferred: Master’s degree (MPH, MHA, MBA, or related field) 2–4 years of experience in GME, healthcare administration, data analysis, or a related field Experience with Cost reporting and IRIS and GME software platforms (e.g., MedHub, New Innovations) Knowledge of Medicare GME reimbursement regulations Familiarity with ACGME, CMS, and other GME regulatory bodies Core Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-based setting Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking Salary Range USD $68,000.00 - USD $72,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
