Responsibilities
The Senior Executive Director will act as an advisor, educator, and mentor to other Executive Directors that he/she may work with on a part-time basis during transitions or as needed.
1. Produces a comprehensive needs assessment and action plan within two weeks of assignment.
2. Ensures a smooth and quick conversion to Company quality and expense standards and systems.
3. Assists in establishing and stabilizing a qualified department head team.
4. Assists in adjusting operations and marketing to achieve the established budget.
5. Achieves a profitable, high quality operation with the Executive Director and staff that is self-sufficient and directly accountable to the Regional Director of Operations.
6. Assists Executive Directors in monitoring of efficient Community operations at host sites according to established goals for profitability and quality.
7. Acts as a consultant to the Executive Director to affect the smooth transition of management in new acquisitions and establish transition plans in accordance with direction provided by the Executive Committee at corporate headquarters.
8. Makes periodic host site visits to indoctrinate and orient the Executive Director and senior site staff on the standards and expectations of service delivery consistent with the Genesis Health Ventures style of management.
9. Assists host sites in maintaining the appropriate physical and service image in the market place. This may include developing and implementing plans and proposals for Community upgrades and renovations where appropriate to ensure that Genesis Health Ventures standards for fresh and appropriate appearance are maintained.
10. Monitors all operating and capital improvement budgets that are consistent with ownership financial performance expectations for all properties.
11. Prepares monthly management summaries which outline progress toward established ownership objectives for all properties.
12. Develops and implements all necessary quality controls to ensure operational stability and appropriate risk management.
13. Ensures that Executive Directors are knowledgeable of -- and that operations are and will continue to be in -- compliance with all applicable federal, state, and regional regulatory controls including EEOC, ADA, Fair Housing, fire and safety codes, nursing and assisted living regulations, and administrative codes.
14. Assists the Executive Director in contacting other Company personnel who may have direct experience with issues facing the host community.
15. Monitors all systems of delivery to ensure that they are consistently applied at all properties and include a mix and system design to achieve optimal profitability.
16. Facilitates efficient distribution of all services at the host property within budgetary expectations and consistent with Company standards of operation.
17. Assists the Executive Director in initially evaluating department head staff positions and advising the Executive Director in conjunction with Corporate to detail the performance expectations for each position.
18. Puts customer service first. Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights. 19. Concerns him/herself with the safety of all customers in order to minimize the potential for fire and accidents. Also ensures that the location adheres to the legal, safety, health, fire, and sanitation codes by being familiar with his/her role in carrying out the site's fire, safety, and disaster plans and by being familiar with current MSDS.
20. Performs all other duties as requested.
Qualifications
1. Must have a bachelors degree or equivalent experience in human services management, housing management, and/or nursing center management.
2. Must have a minimum of three years demonstrated management and supervisory experience.

Restrictions apply based on collective bargaining agreements, applicable state law and factors such as pay classification, job grade, location, and length of service.
Posted Salary Range
USD $50,000.00 - USD $60,000.00 /Yr.
