    The Work You Will Do:

    This is a professional position responsible for assisting the Executive Director of the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) in the daily operation of the Division of Real Estate.

    Your Specific Responsibilities:

    The incumbent in this position performs the following work and other related activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Strategic Support: Supports the Executive Director of FREC and Regulatory Consultant by preparing for FREC's monthly meetings.

    + Meeting Management: Manage audio and video technology in FREC's Probable Cause and General meetings.

    + Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain and update records relating to disciplinary actions, including but not limited to accounts receivable, education requirements, reminders, and compliance action. Update final agency actions to the Division of Real Estate website.

    + Travel Coordination: Assist in organizing travel arrangements for FREC as needed.

    + Public Records Assistance: Aid the Regulatory Consultant with public records requests. Review files and complete redactions in accordance with statutory requirement.

    + Communication and Administrative Support: Handle incoming mail and phone calls, crafting appropriate responses to department staff and consumers with professionalism and care.

    + Project and Task Management: Support the Executive Director of FREC and Regulatory Consultant with a variety of tasks and special projects.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Requires a basic operational knowledge of Microsoft, email, and database applications.

    + Ability to understand and apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies and procedures for licensing and regulation.

    + Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and operate general office equipment.

    + Ability to handle difficult individuals over the phone and deal effectively with people.

    + Ability to maintain confidentiality.

    + Ability to work with minimum supervision and to work in concert with peers, plan, organize and coordinates work assignments.

    + Ability to research information to arrive at an appropriate and effective conclusion.

    Minimum Requirements :

    The Regulatory Specialist II should possess the following:

    + Professional or nonprofessional experience in administrative work and/or professional regulation or related field

    + Professional or nonprofessional experience with data and document management systems

    + Demonstration of an ability to work in a very sensitive and confidential environment.

    + Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and other related applications.)

    Preferred :

    Preference will be given to those who can demonstrate one or more of the following: an interest in public service, a working knowledge of an electronic document records system.
