Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida.
We are seeking to hire a Program Administrator who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program.
This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team based work environment.
This position is located in the bureau of Medicaid Quality.
Medicaid Quality provides data-driven, focused and systemic feedback on the quality of Florida's Medicaid program to federal and state agencies, Medicaid recipients, Medicaid managed care plans, and providers.
The Bureau of Medicaid Quality has a strong focus on providing more comprehensive care, improving health outcomes, and reducing costs.
This position is responsible for leading, developing, coordinating, and/or executing strategic planning activities for quality review, utilization management and quality monitoring and review of specific types of Medicaid services in order to assist in implementing goals, objectives and priorities of the Medicaid program.
The incumbent reports directly to the AHC Administrator of the Clinical Compliance Monitoring Unit and will be responsible for the supervision of employees.
This person is responsible for communicating, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, along with planning and directing employees’ work.
This person will have the authority to hire, discharge, transfer, reward, discipline subordinate employees, or effectively recommend such action.
This position will only be filled at the salary of $2,537.38 biweekly and is non-negotiable.
This position is not a remote or telework position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
Three years of professional experience with the Florida Medicaid program.
Preference will be given to candidates that have a bachelor's degree in a health or human service related field.

BACKGROUND SCREENING
It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration that any applicant being considered for employment must successfully complete a State and National criminal history check as a condition of employment before beginning employment, and, if applicable, also be screened in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, F.S., and Chapter 408, F.S. No applicant may begin employment until the background screening results are received, reviewed for any disqualifying offenses, and approved by the Agency. Background screening shall include, but not be limited to, fingerprinting for State and Federal criminal records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and may include local criminal history checks through local law enforcement agencies.
