    Anticipated Vacancy: Current Employees will be compensated in accordance with the DCF salary policy.

     

    This is a highly professional, regional position that oversees specialized team within the Family Safety Program Office. This position is responsible for the overall administration, management, and leadership of activities and programming related to Family Finders, Field Support Consultants and Multidisciplinary Coordinators within the Northeast Region.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Expert level in child welfare specifically to programs involving Family Finders, Field Support Consultants and Multidisciplinary Coordinators.

    + Management and supervision of specialized team overseeing policy, programming, strategic planning, service array, and operations.

    + Serves as the Department representative in the community with other state agencies, law enforcement, community task forces and citizens through participation in public events, meetings, community forums, and other gatherings related to child welfare where the presence and participation of the Department is desirable or expected.

    + Policy assessment, development, and implementation on issues of child welfare: family finders, field support consultants and multidisciplinary coordinators. Analyzes proposed and new policy for readiness, impact and response mechanisms and needs.

    + Project lead for child welfare initiatives that includes regional readiness plans, identifying strategic planning for regional processes and implementation.

    + Expert at Data collection and analysis. Providing data at Family Safety Program Office level as to effectiveness of programs and areas of improvement.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.

    + Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.

    + Ability to supervise people.

    + Ability to manage a consultative program designed to ensure the resolution of managerial and operational problems.

    + Ability to determine work priorities, assign work and ensure proper completion of work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively.

    + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

    + Ability to formulate policies and procedures.

    + Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.

    + Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other materials.

    + Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices. Ability to conduct fact-finding research.

    + Ability to work independently.

    + Ability to solve problems and make decisions.

    Minimum Qualifications :

    + Bachelor’s degree

    + Minimum 3+ years Child Welfare and Management experience.

    + Documented experience in managing special projects to include data collection and analysis.

    + Must maintain an active/valid driver license.

    + Must be able and willing to travel throughout the Region as required.

    + Must be a subject matter expert in Florida's Child Welfare Safety Practice framework/model.

    + Must be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Data Analytics.

    Preferences:

    + Child Welfare Certification with the Florida Certification Board
