    How will you make an impact:

    Reporting directly to the Vice President, Digital & AI – LDA, this leader will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in crafting the digital transformation roadmap. The Senior Director of Digital Strategies leads digital innovation and efficiency in LDA.

     

    The Sr. Director position is central to the LDA Digital strategy. While divisional and functional group leaders will lead execution, LDA Digital will drive the vision, assess current-state capabilities, and align sector-wide digital priorities. The role will be a key catalyst to accelerate the sector’s progress toward its strategic and operational goals. The role will be dedicated to pinpointing digital capabilities, revealing opportunities to boost efficiency, produce business value, and support the $90M PPI digital targets set.

    What will you do:

    + Strategic Partnership: Act as the right hand of the VP, LDA Digital to coordinate and integrate digital strategy initiatives across divisions and functions.

    + Opportunity Identification: Assess the current landscape of digital capabilities to uncover and prioritize opportunities that drive productivity, efficiency, cost savings, and business impact.

    + Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with divisional leaders to align digital strategy with sector goals and business needs.

    + Digital Capability Maturity: Develop and implement frameworks to measure digital maturity, identify gaps, and recommend strategic improvements.

    + Execution Enablement: Support group leaders in translating strategy into action, and in deploying initiatives with measurable outcomes.

    + Collaboration & Harmony: Drive coordination across LDA Digital, Digital Services, Customer Enablement, and Internal Process teams to ensure coordinated execution.

    + Performance Monitoring: Offer clear, data-driven access to the progress, achievements, and areas for improvement of digital efforts.

    + Talent Development: Contribute to leadership pipeline planning by developing capabilities within the digital strategy team and supporting long-term succession planning.

    + Technology Insight: Keep up-to-date with digital trends, technologies, and systems that are important to Thermo Fisher and incorporate them into decision-making.

    + Impact Tracking: Establish and maintain metrics that support continuous improvement and long-term impact across the LDA sector’s digital initiatives.

    How will you get here:

    Education

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Economics, or a related technical or analytical field required.

    + Master’s or equivalent experience preferred, such as an MBA or a Master’s in Data Science, Technology, or related field (advanced degrees a plus).

    Experience

    + 15+ years of progressive experience in business strategy, digital transformation, OR technology leadership roles, preferably in life sciences, healthcare, or industrial sectors.

    + Proven success in leading cross-functional initiatives in large, complex organizations.

    + Excellent business insight and ability to connect digital innovation with measurable business value.

    + Excellent communication and collaborator management skills across senior levels.

    + Experience working in matrixed environments with global teams.

    + A growth mindset, strong analytical skills, and passion for enabling transformation through technology.
