    CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Multi-Disciplined Technician III.

     

    **Type:** Contract

    **Job Title:** Multi-Disciplined Technician III

    **Location:** Concord, NC

    **Pay Rate:** Based on experience

    **Work Hours:** M-F 8am–5pm (initial training period); follows 12-hour day/night rotation after training

    **Education:** A.A.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred

    Description

    This position will support the automation systems in the warehouse area of the Optical Fiber plant, working directly with the equipment and systems responsible for order fulfillment. After an initial training period (M–F, 8am–4pm), the work schedule will shift to a 12-hour day/night rotation in alignment with the plant's production schedule.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of automation systems including mini load AS/RS cranes, Fanuc robots, roller conveyors, and other automation devices

    • Partner with the operations team to ensure equipment and processes run efficiently and issues are addressed promptly

    • Collaborate with the engineering team on escalated support issues and continuous improvement initiatives

    • Perform and document preventative maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability

    Requirements:

    • Hands-on experience with robotic systems, PLCs, AC/DC and servo motors, pneumatic systems, sensors, and valves

    • Ability to interpret and navigate PLC code

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)

    • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

    Required Qualifications

    Education:

    • Associate degree (A.A.S.) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology

    • OR 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in automation maintenance in lieu of a degree

    Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated experience with robotic and conveyor systems

    • Safety-first mindset with a strong commitment to workplace safety standards

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in small teams

    • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

    • Results-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving
