CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect – Google Cloud opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.

**Location:** Phoenix, AZ

**Duration:** 12 months

Duties:

+ Lead the design and development of scalable and robust cloud-based applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and architect end-to-end solutions.

+ Implement orchestration workflows using Composer and Airflow for data processing pipelines.

+ Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability across large datasets in BigQuery.

+ Utilize GCP services such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow to develop high-performance data applications.

+ Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams and support agile development methodologies.

+ Ensure best practices in cloud architecture and application development are followed throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills:

+ Deep proficiency with Google Cloud Platform and its managed services.

+ Expertise in GCP BigQuery, Composer, Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.

+ Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.

+ Solid programming skills in Python and Java.

+ Strong understanding of cloud-native design patterns and best practices.

+ Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Experience:

+ 5+ years of overall software design and development experience.

+ Proven hands-on experience with the development of cloud-based data applications.

+ GCP Data Engineer certification is a strong plus.

Education:

+ BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
