Our client is currently seeking a skilled **Bio-Analytical Laboratory Technician** to perform routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of food safety, quality assurance, and production operations.
Located in Minneapolis, MN
6 month contract with extension
**Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
**Pay:** $25-32/hour
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing of biological samples, raw materials, and experimental formulations using established lab methods (e.g., HPLC, ELISA, PCR, spectrophotometry).
+ Document and interpret results accurately using LIMS, databases, and technical reports; escalate atypical findings to scientific staff.
+ Support method development, validation, and optimization in collaboration with R&D scientists
+ Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot a wide range of analytical instruments and laboratory equipment.
+ Participate in the execution of research protocols, experimental designs, and feasibility studies under guidance from senior scientists.
+ Follow GLP/GMP or ISO 17025 standards and maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and quality documentation.
+ Monitor lab supply inventory and coordinate ordering to ensure uninterrupted lab operations.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support root cause analysis during investigations.
+ Comply with all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safe lab practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
+ 3+ years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting (bioanalytical, QC, or R&D preferred).
+ Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, ELISA, UV-Vis, and PCR.
+ Understanding of regulated environments (GLP, GMP, or ISO 17025) and quality documentation practices.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with comfort using LIMS or electronic lab notebooks.
