We are partnered with a cutting edge biotech organization in a search for a Senior Medical Director focused in clinical development, who will lead the clinical development execution for their cardiovascular therapeutic program. This is a great chance to join a promising early stage organization and continue as a leader within clinical development.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead the clinical development strategy for RNA-based therapies targeting hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).
+ Apply expertise in RNA science and translational research to shape clinical programs.
+ Develop and execute precision medicine strategies using innovative RNA technologies.
+ Ensure clinical initiatives are aligned with organizational goals and scientific advancements.
+ Design and direct early-phase clinical trials, including first-in-human studies.
+ Act as medical lead and monitor, maintaining focus on patient safety and treatment efficacy.
+ Drive biomarker strategy, including RNA, genomic, proteomic, and imaging-based markers.
+ Contribute to global regulatory submissions (e.g., INDs, CTAs) and provide medical input in alignment with FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including preclinical, clinical operations, and regulatory affairs, to integrate and execute clinical strategy.
+ Represent the organization in scientific forums such as advisory boards, steering committees, and DSMBs.
+ Engage with key opinion leaders to guide clinical direction and validate development plans.
+ Continuously evaluate emerging scientific literature to inform strategy and innovation.
+ Support regulatory planning and documentation efforts for RNA-targeted therapeutic programs worldwide.
+ Ensure adherence to international clinical development and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
+ MD or MD/PhD with specialization in cardiovascular medicine.
+ At least 5 years of experience in translational or clinical cardiovascular research; prior work in HCM is a strong plus.
+ Proven track record in leading clinical development of RNA-based or genetic therapies.
+ Board Certification or substantial clinical experience in HCM or related cardiovascular conditions strongly preferred.
**Base Salary:** $220-$250k/yr
*Will be an onsite position sitting in either the Boston or San Diego area
