    Job Description

    Reliability Engineer

     

    The Reliability Engineer is a member of the Maintenance & Reliability team. The Team goal is to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and longevity of all equipment and systems at the Curtis Bay site.

     

    They are a critical part of the strategy to reduce downtime and lower maintenance costs by leading failure elimination, asset care plans, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, condition monitoring activities, mechanical integrity assessment, regular maintenance activities and capital projects support.

     

    The Reliability Engineer is on-site in Curtis Bay, Baltimore, MD and reports to the Maintenance & Reliability lead.

    Responsibilities

    + Create/Update Asset Care Plan (ACP) after failure of an identified bad actor or critical A/B equipment

    + Identify opportunities for improvement

    + Implement Failure Elimination Program

    + Collaborate with maintenance & reliability engineers and subject matter experts (SME)

    + Contribute to recommendations to Maintenance, Reliability, Operations and Engineering

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering

    + Industrial manufacturing experience in processes such as Chemical, Paper, Metals, Refinery, Pharmaceutical

    + 5+ years experience in manufacturing maintenance or reliability

    + Computer proficiency with Microsoft 365

     

    Physical Requirements and Environment

     

    + Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator

    + Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.

    + Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience using SAP Preventative Maintenance module

    + Experience with Engineering codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI

    + Experience interpretating condition monitoring findings from various tools such as Vibration Analysis, Ultrasound, Oil Analysis and Infrared Thermography
