Data Engineer
Location - Bellevue, WA
Hybrid position - 3 days a week from office
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SQL Server / Azure SQL with strong SQL and ETL development skills
Solid experience with SSIS and advanced SQL scripting
Working knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and reporting
Strong analytical skills with a keen understanding of data quality principles
Ability to draw business insights from data and connect various scenarios
Experience working in Agile/Scrum-based environments
Experience working in Azure technologies such as ADLS, Azure Data Factory, and Synapse is highly desirable
Experience Required:
6-8 years of relevant industry experience.
Additional Skills:
Solid understanding of Data Management and Business Intelligence concepts, including Data Analysis, Analytics, OLAP Cubes, Reporting Technologies, and ETL processes
Prior experience working within the Microsoft technology stack is a strong advantage
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations and in fast-paced Agile environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
Hands-on experience with SharePoint is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-depth troubleshooting and technical expertise in identifying and resolving data-related issues affecting key metrics
Implement proactive measures to monitor and improve data quality
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, validate, and confirm project requirements
Participate in user acceptance testing and validation of business functionality
Serve as a point of support for users with data-related queries or issues
Document business processes, assist partner teams, and contribute to user training efforts
Identify and resolve data discrepancies, delivering actionable business intelligence insights
Monitor ETL processes and address failures promptly
Troubleshoot complex data issues escalated beyond Tier 1 support
Provide flexible support for production issues during off-hours as needed
Communicate ongoing data issues and incidents to business stakeholders
