Overview
In this role you will drive and optimize Compliance Operations for QuickBooks Online Workforce Solutions. Compliance Operations is a critical part of our comprehensive HCM solution to help small and mid-market businesses manage their teams, optimize productivity, and grow faster.
The Group Manager, Compliance Operations will set the strategy and evolution of the Workforce Solutions compliance team, leading and inspiring a high-performing team to ensure 100% accuracy in tax filings and payments while evolving and scaling compliance operations. This person will build and maintain strong relationships across internal teams and external agencies to stay informed of and to influence industry trends and best practices.
What you'll bring
+ Proven Leadership: 8+ years of experience building, leading and delivering Payroll compliance operations across within a matrixed organization. Experience with compliance domains across HCM is a plus.
+ Data-Driven and AI-first Mindset: Ability to gather, analyze, and utilize data to assess program progress, identify risks, and drive decision-making. Familiarity with data analytics and AI/ML concepts and how to leverage these concepts in a compliance setting is a plus.
+ Strategic Thinker: Ability to analyze industry trends, understand Intuit's strategy, and make data-driven decisions that accelerate the competitive differentiation of our compliance offerings.
+ Exceptional Communicator: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels in a matrix organization, from individual contributors to senior executives.
+ Technical Acumen: Understanding of software development approaches, experience with Agile methodologies, and experience working with product management and engineering teams to deliver timely, accurate, and scalable solutions.
+ Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
How you will lead
+ Lead and empower an organization of payroll compliance professionals, fostering a culture of ownership and driving continuous improvement across the organization. Own the E2E strategy for building and maintaining domain expertise within the team.
+ Manage complex compliance updates around key tax filing dates and throughout the year, including assessment and analysis of new regulations, partnering with Product and Engineering on implementation, and ensuring high quality and ongoing end-to-end communication with internal and external audiences.
+ Explore, experiment with, and adopt AI-powered tools to enhance the breadth, depth, and scale of our compliance offering. Proactively drive operational effectiveness through goal definition and KPI assessment
+ Demonstrate exceptional leadership by inspiring and developing team members to do the best work of their lives.
+ Identify and prioritize initiatives that drive improvements in the compliance experience for customers, Accountants, experts and team members.
+ Collaborate with senior leadership (e.g. Director of Product Management, Payroll Tax and Compliance) to align on strategic vision and contribute to organizational direction, and cross functionally to ensure KPI achievement.
