We are more than our jobs. We are Bikers, Chefs, Mechanics, Artists, Beekeepers, Cyclists, Writers, Musicians, Gamers, Nerds, Sports Enthusiasts, and just about everything in between. We are Family People, Single People, Young People, Not-So-Young People, Crazy People, Serious People, Happy People...and we keep a couple of token Grumpy People around for good measure. We unite around our purpose to deliver Legendary Service to every single customer who trusts us to get them back to their lives!
We're looking to add a dynamic leader to our accounting team. Are you a skilled accountant who is driven to learn? Do you care about those around you? Do you pride yourself on high quality work? Do you seek to understand "why" so you can drive improvements? Are you able to balance the precision and order needed in accounting with the borderline chaos of an emergency services business? Do you take your work but not yourself seriously? Can you shape and mentor a cohesive team? If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
Your core duties will include:
+ Manage daily accounting operations , including cash flow monitoring, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, to ensure financial stability and smooth operational execution.
+ Supervise, coach, and develop a high-functioning team ; onboard and train new team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
+ Prepare and analyze key financial reports , including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and work-in-progress schedules, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
+ Support the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts , helping leadership understand and plan for future financial performance.
+ Coordinate and prepare for financial audits by compiling supporting schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
+ Identify opportunities for improving accounting systems and processes ; lead the implementation of more efficient workflows and stronger internal controls.
+ Participate in the implementation of a new ERP system, helping to align financial reporting and operational processes with modern technology.
+ Oversee and process bi-weekly payroll , ensuring accuracy and compliance; manage year-end payroll reporting and filings.
+ Interpret and calculate a variety of incentive plans and variable compensation programs with accuracy and clarity.
+ FUTURE OPPORTUNITY: Lead effort to evaluate, select, and transition to an outsourced payroll provider, managing the process from research through execution.
